5 Spring trends I adore

I am not one for following trends, but there are a lot just happen to love right now. I am a sucker for dewy skin (even during winter months) and messy hair is kind of the norm for a new mum, am I right? Its basically an excuse not to brush my hair... I don't ever wear the colour blue I really don't think it suits me but I had a little play around with some blue makeup and I am really loving this trend, I need to purchase the W3LL PEOPLE mascara! Spring means smoothie season right? Not really a trend although you will find a lot of recipes trending on twitter and instagram this time of year.

Dewy skin.
During spring months I start to eat much healthier, I drink more water, this leaves my skin clear and hydrated. The harsh winds calm and I finally have that natural glow. But I still love a good highlighter, lately I've been using ILIAs illuminator and/or the RMS master mixer read in depth reviews about them here. Around the eye area and tops of my cheek bones and a little on my nose. Now my skin is much clearer I can pull off just a few dabs of concealer and lipgloss.

Messy hair.
Any excuse really to not do ones hair. I have a baby ok, so, my hair is like way to high maintenance. I have a natural curl and a whole lot of frizz. To tame frizz I've been using John masters detangler as a leave in conditioner. To texturise my hair I've been using John masters sea mist sea salt spray it has lavender in so I smell calm and fresh every time I rush by. Read full reviews of both products here.

Stripes.
Yes. This is a trend for fashionistas this ss16, for me though. Stripes = style, I have so many striped tops, dresses and playsuits. I just need some striped pants and I'm good to go. I have been slowly switching my wardrobe to 100% vintage, fair trade and/or organic clothing. It's far to expensive to do in abundance so here and their when a print catches my eye or an item calls out my name I'll purchase it. My favourite organic/fair trade clothing stores are people tree, American apparel and H&M have a range of conscious clothing, oh and myself (I make clothes) I find all three stores affordable as some organic brands can be very expensive.

Blue eyes.
Not literally, I love my browny, greeny, hazel eyes. Blue eye makeup, I'm toying around with eye shadows and I really like the way blue makes my eyes pop, I think purple is great to but blue is definitely a more brave bold look. Give it ago. I like honey pie minerals which you can purchase here.

Smoothies.
I don't know if this one is actually a trend, but I know a lot of people Instagram smoothies during this time of year. Myself being one of them. I absolutely love creating freshly blended fruit and veg into colourful tasty smithies or juices! This time of year I crave healthy foods and I find it much easier to eat well. This year I am lucky enough to own a vitamix so I am sure I will be blending up some delights! I'll be sure to share all my new creations here on 'Eloise loves nature' check out this one and this one oh and this tasty green one.
