Achieving an autumnal red lip | Jane Iredale

Red lips are delicious. Red lip colour is undoubtedly my favourite choice of lip colour for all seasons. I wear it during the day and night. I have a collection of red lipsticks ranging from matte reds, sheer reds, bright reds to cool reds... You name it I've most likely got it. 

One thing that a toxic red lipstick lover will often ask is, 'can you get an opaque coverage with natural lipsticks' the answer is 'absolutely yes!' Just because something isn't man made doesn't make it any less colourful. Just look at nature it's jam packed with beautiful colours.

Today I'm shining the light on one of my favourite green beauty brands Jane Iredale and three lip products you'll be coveting to create your perfect red lip.

Lip liner | Crimson | £13

A deep red lip liner offering a great base for a range of red lipsticks. It applies smooth to the lips. It's very long wearing and works well on its own for a deep matte lip or you can apply it lightly for a hint of red. I often do this on 'no make up' days just to add a little colour to lips as they are very pale naturally. This product is also vegan and gluten free.

Pure moist Lipstick | margi | £19.95

A beautiful deep red with cool undertones. It applies very opaque and the product easily builds. It leaves a semi matte finish. My lips stay nourished when wearing this lipstick I do find some very drying so this is an ideal product for those with dry lips. The product is long wearing. 

Pure gloss Lipgloss | crab apple | £19.95

Usually I don't like lip glosses and would most definitely never choose a red however I absolutely love this lipgloss. Though it appears very red in the tube it applies slightly more sheer. I feel it's the perfect product to apply over red lipstick if you prefer a glossy lip or if you want to opt for a more natural glossy lip you can apply this product alone. It's long lasting. This product doesn't leave your lips feeling sticky or watery.
