My perfect base

Hey guys I haven’t talked makeup in a while but I wanted to share with you 3 products that I’m obsessed with and have been using religiously in my make up routine for well over a year now.

I like to have a hydrated soft subtle dewy finish. My skin is oily but also dry in areas. I battle on and off with acne due to PCOS, androgen dominance and/or vitamin D deficiency.

I don’t usually do a morning skincare routine I once read how it defeats the object of a nightly routine and if you cleanse your face well enough the night before your skin should still be clean the following morning! I just wash my face with a muslin cloth and warm water.

Then I add a few drops of my favourite facial oil Innersenses glow facial oil (read my full review here) it’s such a beautiful oil. I ran out for about a month and couldn’t afford to replace it and I’m telling you it was the worst month of my life my skin was literally yelling at me to get that oil back. I don’t think I’ve ever loved a skincare product SO MUCH!!! It’s affordable and it lasts a really long time.

Then I use my new favourite primer that also doubles as a serum! Yay. It’s by REN and it’s the perfect canvas primer. (Read my full review here) they’ve recently just re-launched the product in new packaging. This is to help make the packaging easier to recycle. I love the primer/serum because it leaves my skin looking smooth fine lines and pores are reduced, it’s like a filter in a bottle!

Then finally I use the Arnica concealer as either a concealer if I’m wanting a minimal finish or as a foundation if I want a full face of maybe to cover up more blemishes breakouts and red/darkness. This is such a healing makeup product so I feel comfortable wearing it when I’m having a break out, I’m sure it helps reduce the inflammation! I often use two different shades and contour with them or blend together to match my skin tone through different times of the year. (Read my full review here).

Oh and just to add in, I recently got the ere Perez multipurpose brush. Because my other two Nanshy brushes were malting worse than the hair on my head! First impression ‘oh it’s a bit small’, but it’s not about quantity it’s about quality and this brush is the softest most gentle brush I’ve ever used it’s as good as using your fingers!
